Burtonesque
May 6th, 2008 by Jacque

If you haven’t by now guessed I am a BIG fan of Tim Burton and the endearing characters he brings to life. If you ask me there is nothing better than spending a rainy day curled up with my knitting while watching one of his films.
This project is a combination that lies somewhere between sweater sleeves and fingerless mitts that provided me with the perfect opportunity to do some simple mosaic knitting ( and you can’t miss how utterly Burton the stripes are).
They are easy enough for a beginner and quick enough to finish in a weekend and available in a range of sizes.

Thanks! My baby brother is working as a makeup artist /stylist in LA and was down for the week so he helped me with the photos. We were really trying to channel Tim so that is a huge compliment for both of us!

Have I told you lately that you rock? I LOVE these - great concept, great design, great pictures! You look smashing, they could edit you right into a Burton flick and it would be a perfect fit.
Now I really must go watch Edward Scissorhands
