Oldie but goodie

100_3204_2.jpg This was one of my first yarn purchases. It is vintage Bernat Kabuki (silk and acrylic) that I got off ebay a few years ago. It came to me as a pearl grey color, but it smelled so badly of smoke (no, I hadn’t had the forethought to ask) that once I had gone through the trouble of washing it, I decided I might as well try dying so now it is a lovely berry blue + lucious lime = teal-y color. I’ve had plans for this yarn so many times and opted out at the last minute. It is a nice light DK weight, and now I’m thinking it might be a pretty summery dress for one of the girls. (Hey Nicole, look familiar?)

Oh, and I’ll try to get off my lazy bum and exchange that zipper so I can finish my jacket and show all you lovelies!
