A dusty wind this way bloweth…
I have planned a Shokay close-up over the Fridays to come so you can get a real up-close & personal idea of what each colorway of this yarn is like, because there is nothing worse than ordering a yarn and being surprised by it’s actual color once it arrives.
Here’s the skinny on my Fiber Friday offering:
Shokay Shambala
100% pure yak down yarn
color: dusty wind
It’s truly more of a cool silver color with a few heathery-darker strands though it doesn’t present as a heathered yarn. You have to get pretty close to see the odd black/charcoal strand.

And because I like to see what yarn looks like knitted up here is a shot in Stockinette stitch.
The color was probably my least favorite when I first received the yarn, but it has seriously grown on me.
It would make a stunning cardi for someone looking for a different kind of neutral. Hmmm, I feel an idea coming on.
Well…you get the picture.
