I’m a geek…

June 22nd, 2007 by Jacque

There is only one thing better than making up a pattern and knitting it up to find that it actually works…having someone else knit it up! I get so excited about the little things which just goes to show you what a geek I am. Look at this gorgeous version of Himalaya:

himalaya.jpg It was knitted by Lena Lundbladh. She blogs here.

” I really enjoyed knitting it, it was very fast done in quite bukly yarn. I used a sort from Norway called Alaska. It’s pure wool, 75 m per 50 gr and the gauge is just about 20 st per 10 cm (4 inches). One skein was enough for 15 squares, so for most of the colors it was enough with one skein.”

Aren’t the bright colors just gorgeous? I may have to knit another one now.

Lena’s Himalaya is gorgeous! I just realized that she’s doing the Argosy KAL too. What a small world! Someday you’ll be seeing a Himalaya-a-long (hey, that’s kinda fun to say!).
