Roman
May 10th, 2007 by Jacque
For as long as I can remember I have loved the epic films that were the hallmark of Hollywood’s golden age. As a child I would spend a long afternoon engrossed in Liz Taylor’s Queen Cleopatra or Charlton Heston’s Judah Ben-Hur. What I loved most were the fabulous costumes that portrayed ancient slices of history. It is in that spirit that this toga-inspired top was created. Roman is a one-shouldered shaped tank in an allover reverse stockinette stitch pattern that provides a lovely background for an asymmetrical neckline bordered with a simple cable twist. A classic crocheted trim adds an old-world feel to this otherwise fashion forward top. (Model: Ashley Guffey)

Oh wow, this is a beautiful top. It looks so soft and the mellow color accents the dramatic look of it all.
I too remember movies like that, but I was more engrossed in Clash of the Titans.

Beautiful! Now that you mention it, it does have that Hollywood feel.
