Letterman pattern is available
This incredibly comfortable jacket is one of my favorite designs to date. I’ve been wanting to design something with two colored brioche for some time and for my money there isn’t much that beats a jacket or cardigan. I’d have to say that they are among my favorite items of clothing probably because they are so versatile. This one is a lightweight zippered jacket that I chose to finish with a collar. I have provided options in the pattern for a hood and pockets. It is worked all in one piece from the top down. The raglan shaping flatters most body types while the simple color design adds interest to the light jacket. The pattern calls for worsted weight wool but the design really allows for improvising with different fibers.
I think next time I’ll knit one with a hood in our school colors for fall football games.

Oh, I love this. I hadn’t counted on the brioche stitch. That will be something new for me to learn after I try steeking (More stripes from Knitty). I love the idea of knitting in school colors.
