Na-na-na-na-na-na they say it’s your birthday…
Na-na-na-na-na-na it’s my birthday too!

Yes that’s right. I’m the big 3-0 today. So obviously I jacked that cake picture off the web, but it creates the right ambiance and it looks yummy, right? ANYWAY…
Last night we had one hell of a light show at about four in the morning. I don’t think I ever remember seeing a thunderstorm like that one. There was no pause between the thunder and lightening. It was LOUD and it was as if someone was outside our house with a strobe light. Kinda’ scary. Well we all woke up, except Cupcake who slept through the whole thing, even what sounded like hail. Yikes! It didn’t last too long and we all went back to sleep thank goodness, but it made for an exciting night. Of course this probably means my landscaper isn’t going to be by to fertilize the yard, the house isn’t going to get power washed today, and the concrete man isn’t going to be starting on my new sidewalk and patio. *sigh* I guess it’ll happen when it happens.
In knitting related news I only finished this much…
of Lady Eleanor, because I was working on something else (to be divilged later, maybe). I really love the SWS with entrelac, but I worry as each rectangle is worked that somehow the color is not going to progress and I’m going to end up with a pool of the same colored squares. I know, I’m a bit of a freak like that. I guess the Pisces in me would like to see into the future a little, at least as my projects are concerned. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve begun a project, worried if I would have enough yarn, and ended up ripping it because I was just positive I would not.
Anyway, so we’ll probably spend this gloomy day indoors, but at least we’ll have our knitting!

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who frogs when fearful of not having enough yarn. Have a wonderful yarny birthday. Who cares if there’s no sunshine today? 30 candles gives off lots of light! (I can say this because I am MUCH OLDER than you - the candles on my cake this year will be the equivalent of a supernova!).
