It’s time already?
When did summer get so short? I can’t believe it but Miss ladybug goes back to school on August 1st. Before long it will be just me and Cupcake. We spent yesterday resupplying her wardrobe with all the things a young diva needs to survive her second year of preschool. Of course we had to take a break from serious shopping for a jaunt into Hot Topic for some Harry Potter gear. She found a locket with the Hogwarts crest that she deemed a necessary purchase and I needed a new Harry T-shirt.
That was followed up by a trip to Candy Craze and a Slush (Mimi’s treat) and then we wandered into Spencers in search of tatoos. Not for school but necessary to add to the last days of her summertime cool. I’ve been coersed into wearing a fairy one with her so we can be “best friends together”. Of course this has me thinking that I need to add to my real ink collection. I need to have my last one touched up, but that’s a story for another day. While we were in Spencers Ladybug found Order of the Phoenix action figures that I will claim once she decides they lose their cool factor. They’ll look fabulous on my Christmas tree? I do a Harry Potter themed Christmas tree in the main living area of the house (The kids have a sweet themed one in the den–I’m not that selfish).
Coincidentally, The Banker took me to see the movie a couple of nights ago for date night and it was unbelievably good. Gary Oldman as Sirius was as delicious as ever. Harry and Ron have become surprisingly more mature, but the idea of finding a 15 year old wizard appealing is just a bit too pervy for me so I’ll stick with my Sirius. That whole mysterious and misunderstood thing he does is just too good to resist. Just like a spider I’ll sit in wait for the UPS man to come strolling up to my door with book 7. Only 8 more days and then I’m not likely to come up for air until I’m done reading.
I guess I had better get to weaving in those ends so I can post and FO before I leave for Hogwarts.

Jacque your girlies are delicious! Such beauties!!! My hubby went to see Harry today, and the book arrives soon too. :O) He’s the one who loves it in this house. I do too, but not quite so excitedly! Luckily he has a neighbour child to share it with.:O) Grandson #3 got to see a preview the other night! Lucky guy! I forgot to measure grandgirl yesterday for her “Mickey”. Darn. I’ll call and get her mum to do it. We have a new grandboy born on Tuesday! He’s a beauty! Can’t wait to hold him. Thanks for the yarn pRon too. Wish I were not so broke. From buying yarn, of course. Otherwise I’d buy some yarn! Hugs to you!

Lovely yarn. How could a person not love a place called Candy Craze?
A Harry Potter-themed Christmas tree is also a great idea. I’ve been working on a bat themed one, and I already have 2 bat ornaments!

I can’t wait to see the movie! I believe we’re going on Sunday. Gary Oldman is wonderful in everything and he definitely was the best actor for Sirius.
