I’mmmmm Baaaaaaaaack!
I feel as though I have dropped off the face of the knitting planet. So much has been going on with me and my family lately it’s not even funny.
I finished the project I was working on for Magknits and finally got everything submitted. I finished it in record time, but couldn’t seem to make the photo session happen. After several failed attempts my DH bailed me out, lovely man that he is. So now I’m just waiting to hear back the details.
My flower bed is finished and I am very happy with the results. It really dressed up our little ranch house. My landscaper is wonderful! The grass still looks a bit trampled, but I guess that is to be expected.
I can’t wait to see what he’s going to do with the rest of my beds.

Amaryllis in bloom

This plant is a yesterday-today-tommorrow. It blooms a deep violet, changes to lavender and then to pure white. I think it is my favorite that he planted.

The view from my porch of the horses grazing. (Relaxing sigh) I love living in the country.

We haven’t been progressing…
I haven’t worked on Lady E in what feels like a decade and my fingers are itching to pick up my needles. It’s thunderstorming today so I think I’ll work on Eleanor this weekend. Maybe I’ll watch Braveheart… Rain, a little Mel, some yarn, and a hot cuppa tea…what more could a girl ask for. If I don’t work on Lady E I’ve got plans for this:

This is that 100% alpaca that I got from Craiglist some time back. This is the natural camel color. Isn’t it divine?
I already know what I want to do with it so as long as everything goes as expected it will be a ladies garment for the fall or winter. We’ll see what happens.
I assure you it is as soft as it looks
I hope that makes up for the past 2 or 3 Yarn PrOn Fridays that I missed.
Nicole: I still haven’t forgotten you! Thanks for understanding!

I hope this post goes through, I’ve tried commenting on the past 2 or 3 posts, but for some reason it didn’t go through!? So glad the medical procedures have gone well so far for you and your mom. Landscaping - beautiful. Alpaca yarn - making me drool.

Good luck with your medical stuff! Those are some very pretty pictures, and the yarn/knitting-related ones make me want to go through my stash and start an entrelac project. But that’ll have to wait till I get back from visiting my parents.

Such pretty flowers! I can’t wait until G and I buy our own place so that I can dabble into flower gardens. I love flowers. Nice view of the horses too.
