Drum roll please…
Okay at first I was going to select the winner based on merit, but everyone sent such good and interesting stuff that there was NO WAY I could choose so I consulted my handy dandy random number generator and in three shakes of a lamb’s tail I had my winners who are…
1. Samm in Canada
This is a seed stitch double-breasted baby jacket Samm is working on and I can’t wait to see the FO because I’m sure it will be lovely.
She’s a Grey’s Anatomy junkie like me and her funny cracked me up too…
“Here’s one of the funnies a little boy told me in class years ago. It struck me so funny that I laughed until I cried and chuckled off and on all morning. The kids just figured I’d finally gone round the bend….
How do you get out of an elephant’s stomach? Well…. you run and you run and you run and you run and you run and you run and you run and run and run until you’re pooped out!”
2. Laura http://nimrodel70.blogspot.com/
I’ve been a fan of her blog and Scout her cat for some time. She knits fabulous things and lots of them.
Scout’s sweater is a modified version of a doggie sweater from Men Who Knit and the Dogs that love them by Houston’s own Drew Emborsky and knitting heretic Annie Modessit. I have got to get my hands on this book. In the meantime Laura,I hope you remember the mods…
because Beauregard my kitty would not forgive me if I neglected to knit him a nifty sweater. it’s all over his face “I think I need one in green to match my eyes, and I’ll be still while you take my picture, I promise”
3. Sharon http://3redgurlz.blogspot.com/
Sharon’s funny is so cute and isn’t her daughter a doll? I always wanted red hair when I was growing up. Love, love, love the red hair!
“Monday mornings are always a rush in our house and this particular morning, my little one needed changing one more time before we left. My 5 year old was getting her drink and snack for school so I asked her to pack me a soup - the blue lid container, a granola bar, a pop and a spoon. By the time I got to the door, my lunch bag was packed and ready and beaming she says “There’s a surprise in there for you”. I smiled and thanked her for packing my lunch and hurried out the door. When I got to work, I put my stuff on my desk and thought, I better check the soup container is upright cause, it’s leaked for me. i opened the bag and sure enough, the soup was on it’s side, on top of a bottle of beer. (see picture for idea of what I saw). My first impulse was zip it up and hide - you can’t bring beer to work. Then I started laughing. The surprise Megan mentioned - I got TWO granola bars instead of just one! The whole office wants Megan to pack their lunches now. I had to go home and explain the difference between Pop (real pop) and Mommy’s Pop/Juice (beer). It almost broke her heart because she thought she was in trouble. I had to fight not to laugh”
SO CONGRATULATIONS Y’ALL. I’m emailing all of you for your snail mail addresses so I can get your goodies to ya’.
In Knitting news…
My shipment from Shokay arrived Thursday, and it is delicious to work with. I’ll be posting pics and details soon (and showing some serious shots for several Fridays to come). I am busy, busy, busy knitting as I have a May 9th deadline for the first 2 patterns, so if I’m slow to answer emails or comments, I haven’t died…I’m just clicking like a granny on crack.

Yay me! Yay Samm and Sharon!
I see Scout is hamming it up on your blog, too. Let me know when you need those mods for the kitty sweater.
