Cranberries anyone?
Okay so this may yuk you out a bit (maybe not), but last night I was craving some thanksgiving dinner. In my desperation I made a peppered turkey and swiss sandwich and threw a few slices of jellied cranberry on there for good measure. With a side of rosemary chips I could close my eyes and almost imagine the dressing. It was so yummy I’m planning to have another for lunch.
Shokay yarn take 5 of 11:
Shokay Shambala in Cranberry
100% pure yak down yarn
100g / 164 yds, 6 ply
knits up to 4 stitches/inch
suggested needle size: US 9 (5.5mm)
–I like it on 8’s–
I love this particular shade. I think of it more as crimson. If you worship at the church of MAC cosmetics as I do this shade is the exact color of their Viva Glam shade of lipstick–very vintage Hollywood if you catch my drift. I have a project in the planning stages with Vyvyan with this yarn. Stay tuned…
This lovely shade is also intended for a pullover design for Shokay inspired by my DH, who I am tired of referring to as DH and shall henceforth be known as The Banker. Of course it is in the color of our alma mater–Gig em’ aggies-WHOOP! Stay tuned for that as well as I will be posting in progress pics of the rest of the projects I am doing for Shokay!

Oh no, that is the exact same shade as Viva Glam. Oh dear. Now I must have it. Yep, I’ve added yak to the list of acquisitional to-do and it’s your fault.
