A day late…

March 17th, 2007 by Jacque

I’ve been saying that this last pregnancy fried my brain. Now you will all believe me. I completely forgot about Yarn PrOn Friday which goes to show how my mind is working lately, but I do have an excuse. Ladybug, Cupcake and I had a play/knit date yesterday with my BF and her girls and Knit Night with my knitting group was last night though nobody made it save two of us. I have been knitting, but nothing I can show you yet as I’m hoping to submit it for publication. I know bah, right? That is the only disappointing thing about trying to break into this design thing. I can’t reveal the goods, and people, keeping a secret is hard work for me, but I do try. So be patient…I think it will be worth the wait. I can promise this…the silk/rayon yarn I’m using is working out beautifully and I think the finished project is going to be just as lovely and a good summer knit. It goes without saying that my Lady Eleanor is on hold for the moment. There is just something about working on your own project. I’m not as inclined to laziness. The curiousity of seeing how it will turn out and if it remotely resembles what I had in mind is driving me. Anyway here’s my belated dose of prOn for this week. Since I’m late I’ll do a two-fer:

This is the softee silk from SpinCity yarns that I’m using now. This pic is truer to color than the one I posted earlier this week. I’m using three balls for my current project. As you can see one is already in progress, and the yarn is lovely. There is still some available if you likey.

…and a basket with Madil Kid Seta in taupe, band-less so I don’t know the actual color name. The others are swap yarns I recieved (vintage I think) called Charme that are acrylic and angora and very soft. The Madil is quite nice I think.

Last but certainly not least is the first finished pic of Hey Mickey for the gallery which I still haven’t figured out how to do. Little Ellyson is 5 months old and is quite the little doll in her new skirt. Her wonderful mommy Bethany knit her Hey Mickey in Bernat Softee Chunky. Didn’t she do a great job?!
