SEVEN RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME!

Number one:

I used to be a huge tomboy. I rode horses, showed steers, worked cattled with my dad and wanted more than anything in the world to become a veterinarian. That all changed when I moved away to college and started biomedical science courses at Texas A&M. Not only did I discover that I HATED biology and chemistry and all the things you need to enjoy in that line of work, I found my inner girly girl and decided she wasn’t so bad after all. I ended up studying horticulture and floral design but have never really used it.

Number 2:

I have just recently fallen in love with fashion frames and I want funky ones in every imaginable color & pattern (find me some leopard ones and I’ll send you a prize). As long as I can remember I have wanted to wear glasses. Of course everyone in my family thinks I’m a nut since they all have to wear glasses and cannot understand why I’d want to do it for fun. Have I mentioned that I’m the only one with perfect vision, yeah… So I buy fashion frames because I’m a bit of a geek and think they add to my geek chic.

Number 3:

I have 2 tattoos. One I got in college that after 2 pregnancies no longer resembles the hippiefied yoga-type rainbow flower that it did. The other I got when ladybug was around 2 or so and is a lower back tat with a leopard’s green eyes and spots (by now I know you aren’t surprised). It took 4 hours to do while I sat on a tall barstool and bent forward–not the most comfortable position. Oddly enough I don’t mind tattoo needles though I will cry at the site of ANY kind of medical ones. Go figure.

Number 4:

When I was in junior high I was one of the many girls with a crazy crush on New Kids on the Block. As you can imagine, my room was wallpapered with their posters, I had NKOTB sheets and pillows, earrings, hats, t-shirts (duh), keychains etc. I especially loved Jordan. Whatever happened to him BTW? Not so odd huh? Well, about a year ago my brother thought it would be funny to get me an old cd or 2 of theirs, and I have to admit that I do listen to them more than any cool person would ever admit to. My husband cringes whenever he gets into my car and they are in my disc changer. He has the same reaction to Ricky Martin who I will also never exile from my cd collection.

Number 5:

After Ladybug was born I started writing a romance novel. I love romance novels, steamy sex and all so I decided I would see if I could do it. Sometime last year I finished it and went through the process of getting it copyrighted. Now I have to figure out how to go about the whole getting it published process. Oh and the second manuscript (which would actually be the first in a series of 5 storylines) is halfway written though it’s been neglected for many months. Anyone out there a publisher?

Number 6:

I have an insane and incredible fear of sharks, but I also find something scary and unnatural about any large aquatic being. I dread the day that my kids want to go to sea world (my own personal version of hell) because the deep tanks that these things live in really creep me out and there is no chance whatsoever that I will be going into the big shark room where you are surrounded on all sides by eek, sharks. For God’s sake what would happen if the glass broke? What is even weirder is that I am a pisces and I love watching the Jaws movies and any kind of shark shows.

Number 7:

I’m a big believer in astrology and lots of other mystic sort of things and am very curious about all types of spirituality which I attribute to being a pisces.

so there you go…

NKOTB? I used to have a heavy crush on John Taylor of Duran Duran. Wow. The things we’ll admit to on blogs. ;-)

Hey, I answered your meme tag! Just thought I’d let you know. That was hard to come up with so many things that I consider “random” yet which might seem remotely interesting to anyone besides me.

I already got tagged and just put up my 7 random facts! Your romance novel one really made me laugh because I’m thinking of writing one too. It’s just such a blast! Is yours a modern day one, a period one, or a cross genre (fantasy, horror, mystery) novel? Just curious.

I actually saw NKOTB once in college. My roommate got the tix for free. All I remember is that they changed outfits about two dozen times!

Are you still looking for leopard eyeglass frames? There are several listings for these new D&G frames on eBay right now (search dolce + eyeglass + leopard): http://bluereflectionglasses.com/DG_OPTICA/DG_854_J73_04A.jpg.
