Last Thursday the yarn from Shokay arrived safe and sound. To say I was a happy camper would be an undrstatement.

I have been so anxious to get my hands on this stuff. I couldn’t wait to get into the box to see if it was as luxe as I’ve heard. Beau of course, had to check that everything was as it should be.

Let me just say that I am very impressed. The 12 designs I’m submitting to them enabled me to use each of the 11 colorways which are stunning. The colors are even more lovely in person than they are online. The ones that appeared a bit bright on my monitor are not that way at all in person. They are all rich, vivid colors that I’m sure my pics don’t do justice to.

I’ll have pictures of the colors together in natural light tommorrow. Stay tuned… same bat time, same bat channel.

TELL ME A FUNNY…

“My fave story is about my son.  One day we went to visit a friend in the hospital.  I had her children, along with my own, so I was doing a bit of herding at that time.  We entered a huge sliding door and made our way to the information desk, to find out where to go. I looked down to count heads and noticed I was missing one.  I started looking around immediately (knowing I was missing my little blonde, blue-eyed devil!) and what do I see?  He had lagged a little too late into the door and gotten stuck on the other side.  He was too small to trigger it, so he was pounding and yelling at me.  The door was sound proof, so all I could see was him pounding and jumping up and down.  It was hysterical.  I went to rescue him, but he thought it was pretty funny too!  (I have kids with a good sense of humor!)”
