Where do you knit?
I am curious. I have heard of people who knit while sitting at a table (I think I’d be uncomfortable), and people who knit out on their porch (I’m certain I’d melt out on mine), and even people who knit while they read (how they do this is beyond me). My knitting environment can only be described as cozy. I have a spot on my couch that is just mine. It is still playing host to the navy blue bed rest pillow (we used to call these bear arms) that I borrowed from my mom when sciatica was my arch enemy. The pillow is an unsightly blemish in my soothing Asian inspired living room of greens and deep browns, but it is so comfy that I can hardly bear to part with it. Besides, it distracts from all the toys that have taken residence there. Then of course is the Boppy that Cupcake no longer needs, but that I find irreplacable as a place to rest my elbows whilst I knit and purl the day away. I mean really, somebody should have marketed that pillow as a knitting aid–my arms rarely get tired. I don’t even care that I probably look like a hen in her nest when I assume the knitting position–I’ll never relinquish it to the garage sale gods.
And here is my third Hey Mickey. This one in Shokay Shambala in dusk and meadow. I knit it in US 7’s and by the end of the day my hand was a bit stiff. As you can see I still need to seam it, weave in those ends and sew in an elastic band.
After a nice pressing I should have some good modelled shots as long as Ladybug obliges- I think ice cream may be involved.
Oh and at long last I got my Ravelry invite so if you’re there friend me and I’ll friend you too!

I knit while sitting on my couch with the TV on just as background noise. I also knit out on my porch when or if its cool in the evenings.

I knit at the kitchen table sometimes, and out on the deck if it isn’t too humid, and in my spot on the couch in the evenings. I have to move the dog a smidge to the left so my elbow has room, and I have various pillows, the favorite being a small tapestry one declaring LOVE, to put under my arms. :O) I knit in the car when hubby is driving, and I knit while waiting in the doctor’s office, and I have knit waiting in line at Wally World! Last week I knit at the campground my kids were staying in, outside under a tree. :O) Doesn’t much matter where…. samm

I knit on a sectional with 1–3 cats around me. I usually sit in one of two places on the sectional, but sometimes I mix it up. It’s a big sectional.

I knit on the couch most often - surrounded and propped up by all available throw pillows of course
But also in the car, a lot. I’m lucky enough to commute to work with my husband, who doesn’t seem to mind driving - so when I’m not sleeping the drive away on the way in as I often do; and nearly always on the way home - I can be seen by passing cars knitting, winding yarn, predrafting fiber - something fiber related!

I knit everywhere! (See my blog, wink!) Literally, I carry my knitting from porch, to porch, to table, to couch, to bed, to car, to everywhere we go. Anything I make is well traveled long before it’s finished. I don’t have a nest anywhere where I sit to knit. I carry my nest in a bag with me.
And CUTE Mickey! Those colors are great!!!

I knit on the couch in front of the tv sans pillows. I try to hold my knitting down near my lap, but invariably my hands get closer to my face. My arms rarely get tired tho. Sometimes I knit in bed, but then I stay up too late.

I knit on the porch or at my desk at work or in one of the rocky chairs (one of which made it to the cool confines of the basement tonight) or on the couch during video time or just wherever i get comfortable. The knitting that is being worked on travels in a plastic bag in a basket and organization is the key.
Love Hey mickey - think it will work in the blue and white of the Blue sky?

Couch mostly. At the computer sometimes too, mainly because the computer chair is so darn comfy. I’m wondering if you can nurse while knitting :D.

I knit on the couch if I’m watching a movie, I knit in my computer chair if I’m knitting something from an online pattern (I don’t have a printer and am often too lazy to copy it out by hand), and there’s a spot on the floor by my stash closet where I’ve been sitting the last few days working on a freeform project…since I need constant access to any yarn I might fancy, it doesn’t make sense to pick one, knit for five minutes elsewhere, then go back for a new one…

I mostly knit on the loveseat after Bear goes to bed (she likes to play tug of war with the needles). I knit in the car, a lot, in waiting rooms, and at all the summertime family get togethers where an aunt or uncle or cousin is off playing with Bear.
