Lookie, lookie what I’ve got…
I got my package from Knitpicks today…Yippee, Hooray! Is there anything better than getting packages of yarn in the mail?

I actually ordered this firecracker heathered WOTA with a Clapotis in mind. The heathering is really subtle but the color is nice, and I love red.
This Happy Dance Shimmer is for another Clapotis and boy this stuff is loverly soft. I could seriously roll around in a tub full. Ooh boy, how I love the alpaca. I can’t wait to see this when it’s finished, and the color way reminded me a little of the Lorna’s Laces bittersweet. We’ll see.
The single ball of Merino Style in color storm was supposed to complement the silk Kabuki yarn I was going to use for Cozy. I was going to split the ball and start the pattern in the merino until I ran out, use all of the silk and end with the remainder of the ball of merino. It looks like I’ll have to dye the silk, or come up with plan B as the silk looks exceptionally green next to the dark blue of the merino. This is an okay blue, but as we all know how I feel about blues in general, I’m thinking someone I know who loves blue would somehow appreciate some fingerless mitts. Hmmm, maybe I could adapt Fetching.
This is the loverly new swish superwash and this stuff I really like it is pretty soft and I can only imagine that it gets better after washing. Woohoo Superwash merino. I bought it to use as the obi on Kyoto in addition to a mushroom yarn, but aftetr testing the softness I’m really reconsidering. I’ll probably order the rest in a less subdued color, maybe dark red or a deep pumpkin. Do they even have that?
And last but not least are the three balls of Trendsetter Swing I found for next to nothing at Tuesday Morning last week. I’m seeing a funky scarf, but I’m very open to suggestions. There are close to 200 yards here (196 total.)
