17 Days and Counting…
I am officially in the home stretch of this pregnancy. Unfortunately for all around me that means that I have reached the stage where all I want to do is sleep, knit, and sit in front of the computer. I know it does sound like heaven except that I feel really, really prego and uncomfy, which means I am prone to tears, which sucks.
We are celebrating Ladybug’s fourth birthday tommorrow so my wonderful mom and brother are handling the present patrol, darling husband is picking up the cake tommorrow (Yippee Cake. I love cake!), and darling brother is cooking her birthday meal.
Meanwhile I am putt-putting along on my Clapotis. I love the pattern but I am knitting so slowly because for some ungodly reason I get into a rhythm with my needles and get sleepy, so not much progress there. I haven’t even thought about that ribbed vest I’m working on. At this point if I were to work on endless ribbing I might never wake up. I’m yawning just thinking about it.
A close up (yes I realize it’s a little blurry, but if you squint you can imagine that it is perfectly clear) Just trust me on this one. Arguing with me at this point is not well advised, at least if you value your life.
On a happy note I got my Knitpicks package in the mail; 3 balls of Andean silk in lettuce (this stuff is divine IMO,)and a ball of Madil Kid Seta in lime that arrived yesterday from Ewe need yarn. This is for the legwarmers from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I should also mention that another ball of the Kid Seta and two more balls of the Andean Silk are also on there way since I idiotically neglected to check errata for the pattern until after I had ordered the yarn. We’ll see if the yarn gods smile down on me and the mismatched dye lots are close or (more likely) they look like different colors all together. The other Madil came from ebay. I got lucky and got two balls; one in lime and one in honey(total bonus) for the price I paid for just the one. I wonder what I’ll do with it…Hmmmmm…
I also made use of the Yarn Stash spreadsheet that has been sitting in my knitting folder just waiting to be filled in. It took about two days to fill in all the info and tweak it just right, but I finally got done and am feeling so very organized, at least regarding my yarn (You should see my house). I posted a link to it on my sidebar as well as some other very useful info I’ve found lately. Help yourself. It’s good stuff.
