Finished Objects for Bubba

December 8th, 2006 by Jacque

My brother was good enough to bring a few older finished objects from his home so I could show you all. Last Christmas I made everyone in my family a sweater and this was his. It was a basic V-neck design with drop sleeves in black homespun yarn with deep red crochet edging and trim (see I told you I could crochet when I have to).
When I asked him what kind of sweater he wanted he said something soft and cuddly for around his apartment. I decided a knock around pullover with kimono type sleeves was just the thing. On the sleeves I stitched the Chinese symbol for happiness for a little boost of good karma.

This was a diagonally knit eyelet scarf pattern, but I don’t remember which pattern it is but I do have a copy…somewhere…

The yarn is moonlight mohair in rainbow falls which looks great in the eyelet pattern on large needles. I find mohair a little itchy for an against the neck scarf, but he usually wears it over his coat and he has gotten quite a few compliments.
