Kiddo things
Glitzy Fritzy was born as I was trying to think up ideas to use up some yarns in my stash. I started a basic cap cuff for Ladybug with double strands of Yarn Bee Pizazz in Fawn. With a 16″ circular I CO 56 sts and worked in garter stitch until the band was as long as I wanted. I changed to a strand of chocolate wool ease paired with a strand of Patons Brilliant in gold. I worked in Stst. until hat measured about 6 “. I decreased rapidly so the hat wasn’t pouffy on top and tied off my remaining stitches. For the scarf I alternated rows of gold and chocolate with the doubled pizazz. I think I even included a panel or two of Stst bordered in seed stitch. This was one of those in front of the TV projects where I sorta’ invented as I went along. I of course, neglected to write anything down .
I made my own pattern and cherry logo for this simple bi-color raglan sweater. I have since misplaced it, but I have plans to make up the pattern. It was a quick knit down with TLC Amore.
Okay so this is the only piece of clothing I have ever crocheted before, but I have no idea where the pattern came from (Whadda ya’ gonna’ do?) I’m thinking it was one of those free flyers from Bernat and it seems like it was for their cottontots yarn but who knows (this was a long time ago people). All I know is that it turned out cute and Ladybug wore it so much the seams eventually popped somewhere, so now it waits in my hope chest until I get the time or inclination to re-seam it. By the time I get around to doing it, it will probably fit the new baby.
