Toasty Ankles and Glam hands …
I thought these were going to take forever since they are all ribbing and we know how exilharating I find the endless cycle of k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1…. AAAAAHHHHHH…but for some reason this time it wasn’t bad at all. Maybe that had something to do with the Knitpicks Andean Treasure and Madil Kid Seta that I used to make them. So call it a lesson learned: if one has to make a project involving tons of ribbing, one should choose loverly alpaca yarn that wants to be fondled, thus making the mind-numbing k1, p1, k1, yada, yada, yada an entirely satisfying experience.

Once I was done I had a ball of the Andean Treasure leftover so I thought I’d make my favorite one skien project…you guessed it…Fetching armwarmers, only this time I decided to try beaded knitting for the first time. OH MY GOURD I love, love, love it, so much so that I’m already planning all the beads I’m going to add to those “boring” yarns in my stash. Now I guess I have to start hordeing beads as well as yarn.
I’m sure you also noticed the groovy stripe I inserted to encompass the thumb when I realized my yarn wasn’t going to reach as far as I needed it to. It is actually some super soft white yarn I had in the stash, but it looks like lime ice with the strand of lime madil kid seta with it. These turned out chunkier than the other Fetchings I’ve done, but they’re wicked warm and are just perfect for while I’m knitting or on the computer. Plus they match my Kermit the frog legwarmers which you know I wouldn’t dare wear outside of my house, but will be keeping my legs toasty all the same.

You are always so productive! I love your FO’s, but I rarely dare to look at your blog because I feel soooo slow by comparison! Both the leg warmers and the Fetchings came out great. I particularly like the 2 colors for the Fetchings. Nice manicure, by the way!
