I’m a Fetching machine…

December 12th, 2006 by Jacque

Here are the pics of the beaded black pair of Fetching I promised. I used Knitpicks Swish Superwash in black with black iridescent beads. They are for a cousin. I usually hate working cables in dark colors (black in particular), but the beads really made these pop, and now I think I want a pair too. They are a little reminiscent of early Madonna don’t you think? Back in her Boy-Toy days.

And here’s a peek-a-boo of the pair that I’m working on for another cousin. She is all about pink so I mixed pearly pale pink beads (say that three times fast)with clear darker pinks ones. I thought they complemented the Swish color ballerina perfectly. More pics when they’re done.

I adore these!!! I love the black with the beads, and may have to steal that idea for myself (or my sisters). Your “kermit” ones look great too.Fetching is one of my favorite patterns. I made two pairs for Xmas; just without beads.

The beads really do make the black yarn very sexy! Cables in black yarn would usually not work very well, but you did a great job of making it work! Tim Gunn would be proud.
